I don't think the new one is a reissue for collectors. It's a low-price reissue serialized with Korn/Bad Religion/Silverchair/Pearl Jam and some others. Different layout, same music and a series tattoo logo

Try to get the advance promo CD of WLWHWT, that's the only issue with the original cover picture.

<font size="2" face="verdana, arial">I've written that this issue is made for collectors to drag them some money out of the pocket. But i think everybody should decided by himself if he spend money for that issue or not.
I wish had the advance promo but i'm not willing to pay tons of bucks for rare stuff.Anyway, everybody should do whats the best for oneself. Peace!

It does appear to be a legit re-issue and even lower-priced, which can work well for the fans and for exposing the band to new audiences... in Germany or abroad. Royalties, I bet, are a lot slimmer though. Sony-BMG (Germany) released it as NobusfromDC mentioned is a regional issue, which means "domestic" for German fans. Imagine them buying the issue made by Sony/550 (United States) and you get that funky "import" sticker and that "import" price. So, a legit re-issue works here rather than a bootleg.

I still think it's wrong with how the big label approached it (and the timing!!!!!), but that's my opinion and that hasn't changed. If I could have a say on any re-issue, it would be a remaster/re-recorded/extra tracks/alternate packaging etc., so the serious fan gets more bang-for-the-buck (or dollar/pound/euro, etc.). As for WLWHWT, I'm not sure I would want to change the sound on that, but I'm sure my tastes are different from everyone elses.

Funny thing with the internet is that I often forget that we're not all in one country and as much as I like to think I'm open-minded, I do lose focus sometimes. Anyway, excuse my latest lash-outs (or bad humor) if anyone took anything personally. I don't want to make excuses, so I'll just leave this explanation... I was trying to be funny.
